Award-winning Ghanaian rapper,singer and producer,E.L strongly disagreed with XXL Magazine's ranking of Top ten hiphop acts in Africa for the year 2017. We can't can't really tell if it's because he wasn't part of the list or he had other reasons too. Wiyaala,the Lioness of Africa as she calls herself had an opportunity to perform live on German TV and becomes perhaps the first Ghanaian musician to achieve such a feat. Prior to her performance,she was interviewed about her music and her mother tongue "Sissala". I must say she spoke very well to project herself,her culture and Ghana as a whole. Host of the late afternoon show on GHoneTV,Berla Mundi decided to take off her weave-on and make-up live on television in line with the topic that was discussed on today's edition of the show that is fast becoming a go-to show for controversial news. The topic for discussion today was if ladies do feel beautiful without beauty enhancers like weaves, makeup, lashes,etc;if they will be comfortable stepping out to an event without any of these and if society puts pressure on women's looks. Egypt and Liverpool's Mohammed Salah has won the the best African Player for the year 2017 at a plush event held at the Accra International Conference Centre.He beat off not so stiff competition from his Liverpool team mate Sadio Mane(Senegal) who cake second and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Dortmund and Gabon who came third.Salah thus becomes the first player to win both BBC African footballer and the CAF edition at the same time. Boris Frederic Cecil Tay-Natey Ofuatey-Kodjoe better known as Boris Kodjoe, is an Austrian-born actor of German and Ghanaian descent known for his roles as Kelby in the 2002 film brown Sugar , the sports-courier agent Damon Carter on the Showtime drama series Soul Food and was a recurring character on FOX's The Last Man on Earth. He currently co-stars on BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood and on the CBS medical drama Code Black. A statue has been mounted in honour of Michael Essien in Kumasi along the popular Boadi Road. The statue sees Essien in a Chelsea jersey,the major European team he played for that brought him to mainstream limelight in Africa and the world. In his hay days,Essien played for teams like Bastia,Lyon,Chelsea,Real Madrid,AC Milan,Panathinaikos and currently plies his trade with Persib Bandung in Indonesia. This piece will definitely divide opinions because either you are a die-hard fan and just won't agree or you think they surpassed your expectations and don't have to termed as such. My definition of ghost artiste is an artiste that didn't quite reach previous heights and the difference between both heights being very significant. Albeit rebranded,the second edition of the people's celebrity awards took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on  Saturday,30th December,2017.The event which was compered by the eloquent Naa Ashorkor and DJ Black(music inclusive) both of JOY FM saw  performances from Nacee,Gifty Osei,Osadji,Teephlow,Fancy Gadam,Kidi,Kuami Eugene,Ebony and Shatta Wale..The ultimate award of the night was the Overall Personality of the year and the winner, Shatta Wale went home with a 65,000 dollars dodge charger. The Late Afternoon Show on GHoneTV since it's inception like a month or so ago has really made the headlines for the interesting topics discussed on the show and gradually making the show a must-watch one. In today's edition that aired from 4pm to 5pm,the show was dedicated to reviewing the biggest news of 2017 albeit more of entertainment news. The show couldn't have ended without Berla Mundi and her panelists including Sika Osei and Mzgee(with Official Kwame joining later ) discussing Yvonne Nelson's pregnancy and subsequent successful delivery but it seems their thoughts got on the nerves of the outspoken Yvonne Nelson who tweeted just minutes after the show to air her displeasure. Tic Tac was on GHToday on GHoneTV some minutes ago to talk about his music and obviously the litigation with Melcom that went in his favour,his recent issues with Shatta Wale and other things he was up to. Midway or so through the interview,he got angry when Shatta Wale's work was being played and decided to end the interview his own way;while leaving the set said he hadn't come there to promote Shatta Wale and this obviously left Baisiwaa Dowuona-Hammond a bit flummoxed and she kind of struggled to string words together afterwards.   Perhaps Joe Mettle is enjoying the mileage he gained from winning the artiste of the year at this year's VGMAs as the video to his song  ‘Bo noo ni’, released on September 12th this year – a little over two months ago, has received impressive YouTube views and at the last time of checking had a million views. ‘Bo noo ni’ which featured Luigi Maclean is a Ga phrase which means ‘Only you’  and was released ahead of the ultimate God of Miracles album in September which rose as high as topping the iTunes Music Chart. All songs on the 13-track album were written by Joe Mettle except for ‘God of Miracles’ written by Pastor Edwin Dadson, Ogya and also the collection of songs in ‘The Experience’ track which are most credited to public archive.

Ghana's Most Beautiful 2017 was brought to an end some minutes ago with the final held at the Accra International Conference Centre. After performances from each finalist namely Serwaa from the Eastern region,Baaba from Central region,Nana from Western region and Zeinab from the Northern region;the latter came tops albeit not so easy. For her price, Zeinab goes home with a brand new car and a trip to Dubai. The show was intermittently spiced up with performances from Kuami Eugene,Mzvee and Edem who performed just before the winner was announced.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the demise of the host of popular late afternoon socio-political show on Asempa FM. Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong affectionately known as KABA is dead.
