If what we have heard from organisers and from the grapevine is anything to go by,then the second edition of 3Music Awards is something that will linger in the minds of music lovers for a longtime to come. Shatta Wale is set to open the event with a spectacular performance that will leave patrons spell-bound and ask for more. There has been a raging war among music fans as to whether "my level" by Shatta Wale is a highlife song or not after both 3music and VGMAs nominated it in as a highlife song. Shatta Wale's utterances today should put the argument to bed. He opined that the instrumentals makes it a highlife song and that people think it's not highlife because the person that sang it is predominantly a dancehall musician. He spoke to George Quaye on Showbiz A to Z on Joy FM from the fantasy dome,venue for tonight's 3music awards about his preparations towards tonight's awards show.

CAF Steals Ghanaian Beatmaker's Soundtrack?

Host of Joy FM’s Geeks Squad and Ghanaian beatmaker,Kobby Spiky Nkrumah has called out Africa's football’s governing body, CAF for the use of his work without prior authorisation. The beats producer has revealed that the football governing body used a soundtrack belonging to him for the promotion of CAF Awards without his permission. He spoke to AdomOnline last week about the development. According to Spiky, not even emails to CAF drawing their attention to the infringement on his intellectual property rights prompted the Federation to take the right action. Mr Nkrumah produces beats under the production name, and has expressly stated under his beats, “If you want to use my beats for commercial purposes, please contact me at Spiky Beats konkrumah@gmail. com”. The main issue was to discuss his call for fans not to mock artistes when they don't win awards and said it wasn't necessary and would continue making that call. University Professor Tasks Students To Make 1667 Friends On Social Media For An A+.

A Chinese university professor has sparked a heated online debate after giving his students an unusual assignment that required them to add 1,667 friends on WeChat, China’s most popular social network, in order to get an A+. The controversial assignment required students taking the Online and New Media course at the Henan University of Economics and Law to add at least 1,001 new friends on WeChat in order to earn a score of 60 out of 100. The more friends they would add above that threshold would increase their score, with those getting at least 1,667 new friends guaranteeing themselves an A+. Although some of the students – especially the most introverted ones – complained that the task was too difficult, faculty at the university defended their colleague, explaining that the assignment prepares the youths for real life. “It’s a difficult assignment task. Ghana Ranked 25th In The World For Low Mobile Data Charges

Ghana has been ranked 25th on the list of countries in the world with low mobile data charges. Recent statistics show that the price of an average 1GB of data is being sold in Ghana at $1.56 compared with other countries including Zimbabwe [ranked country with most expensive data charges], selling same data package at $75.20. This was captured in research published by  Cable.co.uk . The research was from data gathered from 6,313 mobile data plans in 230 countries between 23 October and 28 November 2018. The cheapest data package worldwide according to the research was $0.26 with the most expensive being $75.20. In Ghana, the research said data packages could go down as low as $0.34 and as high as $4.75, equivalent of ¢25.96. According to the researchers, mobile data is very cheap in some countries because of an impressive and efficient mobile and fixed broadband infrastructure.
