Statue Mounted In Honour Of Michael Essien..

A statue has been mounted in honour of Michael Essien in Kumasi along the popular Boadi Road.

The statue sees Essien in a Chelsea jersey,the major European team he played for that brought him to mainstream limelight in Africa and the world.

In his hay days,Essien played for teams like Bastia,Lyon,Chelsea,Real Madrid,AC Milan,Panathinaikos and currently plies his trade with Persib Bandung in Indonesia.
