 No one saw this coming but the deal was first made public just over an hour ago via micro blogging social media platform twitter on Don Jazzy's account, @donjazzy to be precise.Details regarding the deal is not readily available to our sources but the deal looks really promising on the surface musically for both artiste and record label.  Iyanya thus joins A-list musicians such as Dr Sid,Reekado Banks,Korede Bello,Dija and D'Prince to make the already formidable Mavins Records more formidable. The much anticipated 2016 MAMAs was held at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg,South Africa with performances from a tall list of artistes such as Korede Bello who opened the show with a performance alongside the Soweto Choir to Yemi Alade,Wizkid and Future just to mention but a few.Bonang Matheba hosted the show after the original host Trevor Noah pulled out at the last minute citing a severe infection of his vocal chords as excuse on twitter on Friday.Nevertheless the show was good in general but terrible from a Ghanaian point of view as there was a no show for Ghana in terms of awards and performances.
