Peace FM,Adom TV And Daily Graphic Top GeoPoll Report On Media Patronage In Ghana

GeoPoll is pleased to release a report on the top TV channels, radio stations, and print outlets in Ghana for 2017. The top media outlets were determined using the daily data collected through  GeoPoll’s Media Measurement Service , which has been measuring media audience ratings through mobile phone surveys in Ghana since 2014. To learn more about GeoPoll’s media measurement service and methodology, or to gain access to additional data including  ratings  breakdowns by age, gender, and location,  please contact us . The report finds that Adom TV, Peace FM, Goodnews FM, Hello FM and Daily Graphic emerge as the top national and regional media outlets in Ghana for the year 2017. Adom TV, a national broadcaster, was the leading TV station averaging 662,000 viewers per month. The leading radio stations in the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Western regions were Peace FM with 111,000 listeners, Hello FM with 186,000 listeners and Goodnews Fm with 57,000 average daily listeners respectively.

Shatta Wale Signs To Zylofon Music?

A couple of days ago,www.entertainmentgh.com reported that, high-flying record label, Zylofon Music was 89% through in the signing of high-flying act, Shatta Wale and the 11% left  was all about the contract. It seems that remaining 11% has been cleared! Unconfirmed report gathered by www.entertainmentgh.com has it that, with a ‘100% surety’, Shatta Wale is now signed to Zylofon Music, a label under the Creative Arts company, Zylofon Media. The ‘Freedom’ hitmaker and the label were said to have concluded contractual talks yesterday, after which the artist was given a tour around the Zylofon Media offices at East Legon. He is also said to have been introduced to executives, employers of the company and most significantly, to the other artists already on the label. Stonebwoy, Becca, Joyce Blessings, Obinini, Kumi Guitar are the other music artists signed to the label. Zylofon Music are expected to make the grand announcement of the signing very soon! We live in a country where people get so angry about sexual acts between two consenting adults than when an individual is sexually abused. Day in, day out, news stories pop up about little girls, little boys, women and men being victims of sexual violence. Yet, very little awareness is raised in regards to this issue that has been with us for time immemorial. The society we live in is such that when issues of this sort comes up, it is hushed up quickly as it came. Victims are scared of speaking out and bringing their abusers to book. People in general do not see it as a big deal and a greater faction blames the victim rather than the culprit. Zylofon Media Launches 1 Million Dollar Art Fund

Entertainment company, Zylofon Media has launched its much publicised arts fund with the aim of giving financial support to acts in the creative arts industry who may want to embark on a project. Teephlow was on Zylofon 102.1 FM a few minutes ago primarily to promote his latest project,Phlowducation EP. However,the host of the Showbiz Agenda and his panelists took the opportunity to ask if he would reply Strongman who had released a new song titled "charcoal" in which some lyrics suggested he was throwing shots at Teephlow. As a reply,he said he had listened to Strongman's charcoal song and he thinks it's a good song and didn't think it was directed at him and therefore hadn't thought of replying him.

Sammy Forson Leaves Live FM For JOY FM As EIB Exodus Continues

Radio personality and Business Manager Of Sarkodie, Sammy Forson has left the EIB group for the Multimedia Group. He is joining Joy FM from Live FM with over 10 years under his belt in the Ghanaian entertainment space and the media in general. For over 10 years, Sammy Forson has worked in the Ghanaian entertainment industry as a Radio and TV presenter, Artiste Manager, Event Manager ,social media influencer and recently a fitness coach of some sort. Some of the stations he has worked with previously include Citi FM, YFM,Garden City Radio among others. This makes him one of high profile media practitioners to leave EIB in like 3 months with AJ Akuoko Sarpong leaving for Citi FM and Naa Ashorkor leaving for JOY FM. The rumour mill also has it that Anita Erskine has left Starr FM for a yet-to-be named station and Abena Owusu Nyamekye of GHoneTV fame lacing her boots to live in February having rendered in her resignation already.

Judging from his tweet some minutes ago,this may be a final confirmation that he truly intends to scrap what has given a lot of Africans and other non-Americans the opportunity to enter the US. The Musicians Union of Ghana, MUSIGA has announced the top twenty songs for the year  at a press soiree held in Accra on 12th January, 2018. Speaking to the press, the president of MUSIGA, Bice Osei-Kuffuor popularly known as Obour explained that data in the music Industry was missing and so as part of efforts to collate useful data and keep memorable records of artists’ contribution to entertainment in the country, the union had decided to compile top twenty songs every year. The statistics according to the music body was tabulated from the number of airplay these songs had in the year 2017. The job they said was done by Kisema, a logging system company in Ghana. They emphasized the point t hat the data does not include the constant play of the songs off radio and in my words I refer to the underlisted songs as "radio hits".
