BAR 3 Concert Review
From all indications,the #BarConcert has become an annual event hiphop heads in Ghana look forward to in order enjoy rare performances of mainly hiphop tunes from various hiphop artistes in Ghana.
This was the first I attended a #BarConcert so comparing with the two previous editions wouldn't be very fair.
I arrived at the event venue which was the POLO Court with a friend after just 22:00 GMT to performances from various underground hiphop acts like Morning Tee,Medal and a few whom I can't recollect for now.The show kicked off proper when Tee Phlow came on stage and wowed everyone with his rap skills and dexterity.That changed the atmosphere and the crowd now became very vociferous and charged up for a good show.The likes of Trigmatic,Medikal took turns to perform much to the admiration of the not so impressive crowd gathered who sang along to all songs,some to my utmost surprise and that of the artistes themselves.
There came the climax of the event when E.L himself took centre stage to perform to his fans,the Eliens as he calls them.Memories of how bad the live band at the VGMAs 2016 came to mind immediately I saw the band whose name I can't readily recall prepare to usher in the BAR.The live band was that good and in typical BET fashion, the original record was played and the live band synced so well with it that it sounded so good to the ear.I need to doff my hat out to the drummer of the band not to say the other band members didn't do well but he was just so outstanding and made E.L performance so entertaining and memorial even causing a Non-Elien to admit the success the E.L's performance.
Later on,M.I also passed through and performed creditably to the pleasure of all gathered.
All in all,the #BarConcert was more of a success than a failure and still needs room for improvement especially in the area of publicity due to the not so impressive numbers that were recorded.Thank you.
