There has been a raging war among music fans as to whether "my level" by Shatta Wale is a highlife song or not after both 3music and VGMAs nominated it in as a highlife song.

Shatta Wale's utterances today should put the argument to bed.
He opined that the instrumentals makes it a highlife song and that people think it's not highlife because the person that sang it is predominantly a dancehall musician.

He spoke to George Quaye on Showbiz A to Z on Joy FM from the fantasy dome,venue for tonight's 3music awards about his preparations towards tonight's awards show.
